About Me

Zachary Markley has always known what he wanted to be: an entertainer. His biggest challenge was figuring out how to become one professionally. Zachary grew up in Orwell, Ohio, to supportive, art-loving, working-class parents. As a boy, he engaged in artistic activities like piano, dance, theater, and choir. He made VHS short films with his family and friends in his free time.

Zachary earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media Communications from Thiel College, where he also minored in creative writing, and later a Master of Arts in Film Production from Full Sail University. He likes to say his real education has been hands-on. During his undergraduate studies, Zachary became the student producer of the campus television studio and directed a low-budget feature film as his honor’s project. In graduate school, he was the gaffer of his class’s collective thesis film while acting in various other student films.

After graduating with his MFA, Zachary moved to the Atlanta area, where he worked on various film and television productions such as “Avengers: Endgame,” “Ozark,” and “The Devil All the Time,” among others.

He now works for himself in Athens, Georgia as an independent author, filmmaker, and podcaster, with many new projects soon to be released. When he isn’t working, he spends time with his wife, Bethany, family, and friends and enjoys hiking, photography, playing piano, and collecting physical media.
